This six week class gives you the step by step process to bringing Shakespeare’s language from the page to the stage with vitality and power.

Week 01 / Stage Fright
Week One is a quick look at stage fright, recording ourselves to create a metric to measure our progress over the course of the six weeks, and then a deep dive into verse.

Week 02 / Punctuation/ Poetic Devices
In Week Two we shift our focus to punctuation and how we use it as a road map for show us how to play the speech. We will then tackle poetic devices and how to bring them to life.

Week 03 / Operative Words/Antithesis
We get into the heart of the work in week three, using the dodge ball to turn words into a physical force.

Week 04/ Actions and Objectives
In Week four we unlock the emotional journey of the speech with actions, objectives, and obstacles.

Week 05/ Review/Caesuras
In week five we will review all the work we have done up to this point and then dive into the final lesson: Caesuras.

Week 06/ Performance
In our final week we will perform the speeches and record them so we can compare them to the first recording and see the amazing journey we have taken.

This six week, course is designed to give you all the tools you need to bring any Shakespeare scene, speech or role from the page to the stage . Attendees will receive an email with instructions on how to access the materials for each day.
